Basil flower / Albahaca 2 (focus stacking)

Posted by
aaanouel (Heredia, Costa Rica) on 23 February 2016 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

Due the extremely narrow millimetric depth of field of the lenses used*, an interesting technique was applied here (and yesterday):
Focus Stacking, these captures are the result of merging about seven consecutive shots in an single image. Nice job isn't it?.

The Spanish words of Arabic origin are those that start with "al-," such as Álgebra, Alá , Alhambra, Albahaca (basin), Almohada (pillow), Alfombra (rug) etc. /// "Albahaca" comes from the Arabic "Al habaqah", having the romantic meaning of “penetrate the brain with a mild odor” and it's the basic ingredient for making Italian Pesto sauce.

* ±800mm macro lens (35mm equivalent).
